Lovely hotel with old world charm, friendly staff and fairly good breakfast. Modestly sized bed and bedroom, large bathroom with bath and shower. Only secondary double glazing, and as my room faced the main road, it was very noisy until midnight. There are rooms at the back of the hotel that should be quieter. No desk, so working was a bit tricky. Overall, a very pleasant two day stay.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Lovely clean , modern hotel with great facilities and great staff. Nijo on reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and Anja the breakfast waitress was friendly , kind and efficient . We had a great time here. The rooms had air con and everything you will need. We will be back and we recommend this hotel to everyone.

Exceptional front facing room with double glazed sash windows and air conditioning, clean mondern bathroom in keeping with the recent modernisation of this beautifil building. Room beautifully refurbished and clean. Hotel restaurant billing error, no refund as yet. Restaurant discounts available for staying guests. Shared car park good value but needs cleaning and bins, ashtrays overflowing. Staff friendly. Scaffolding on outside of hotel for long term refurb. View from room window obstructed by same scaffolding. AC very good during Aug 2026 heatwave

Room and entrance area were lovely. As expected in an older hotel some areas (the communal staircase) could do with some updating but didn’t bother us. Our room was spotless and very comfy. However, the windows are very old and therefore the rooms are very noisy (even on a Monday night). Luckily I sleep with ear plugs so didn’t affect my sleep too much but it was definitely annoying during the day. What made it worse was the hotel had building work ongoing on the floor above us which we weren’t told about at check in or prior to arrival. This led to banging and drilling most of the day which was disappointing. Overall I’d recommend as the room was lovely and the bed so comfy just being earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Spacious grand entrance, pleasant helpful reception staff. Room was of a good large size, modern, contemporary, clean with excellent facilities. 24-hour bar with good selection of drinks. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide range of choice and fresh produce of a high standard. The hotel exceeded all my expectations and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Fantastic hotel, with all it's history lovingly and sympathetically included in its design. The staff were brilliant- friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond for my partners Birthday, which was the reason for our stay. The room was spotless, well laid out, and the amenities were of a high standard. If we ever visit Leicester again, this would be my first choice of hotel.

Disclaimer: Building was still undergoing renovation during my visit. Building - Even with that, this one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The reception/lobby/restaurant/bar area on the ground floor carries a good style and clean design. With a little exploration there are wonderful meeting and conference rooms, which were not in use when I went for a wander. Ammenities - Poked my head in the gym, there is a gym. Room carried the essentials, well supplied with coffee and tea. Very handy for me as it was a packed weekend. I would double check towels, some of mine had marks. But solo traveller, I used the 'spare' set with no difficulty. Staff were professional and helpful at every encounter. Though I didn't go to the bar or restaurant on this trip. The appearance of the space is encouraging.

Yet another stay at this beautiful renovated city centre hotel. As always a very pleasant welcome on arrival and at check-in, plenty of easy parking (and not expensive). Beautiful spacious double room with en suite shower a bath and toiletries to hand, N/B no air conditioning presently, but given two large effective fans running through out the day to help maintain room airflow, room was serviced every day to maintain clean and crisp atmosphere. Breakfast served as a buffet along side a small A La Carte menu offering upgrades. Beautiful bar and reception area offering drinks or respite from city centre life.

Absolute stunning hotel. Lovely to see a hotel with so much history being restored. Currently going through refurb. Staff friendly. Breakfast amazing. Bedroom was small with no air con. Absolutely stunning hotel, very well looked after and well maintained. Great location in the city centre. Next to shops and restaurants. Parking was easy, just 2 min walk to hotel. Receptionists made you feel very welcome, very helpful and friendly. Hotel room was very nice and spacious, bathroom was stunning just a shame no bath but overall excellent. Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast we have had. The lady serving at breakfast was by far the best member of staff, her name was Ania. She was amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The only down side to our weekend was a function which started at 4pm Saturday which was so loud and made the bed and chairs feel the base of the music. I did ask reception cause the rest of the hotel seemed quiet! We were given the wrong room, right above the function room. It continued till 12:20 when promised it would stop at 12midnight. So if you are booking make sure you ask if there is a function and to be allocated away from it. Apart from that an amazing hotel and would stay again.
