Had a lovely 3 night stay in this beautiful hotel. Had a twin room which was clean and beds were comfy. Staff were cleaning the rooms everyday and nothing was too much trouble when we asked for clean towels. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were really friendly. Will definately return.

2/10 Poor

Stayed here 20/10/2026 for business, location was great but the smell throughout the hotel was awful! Especially near the lifts, smelt like people had urinated on the carpet. The bed was rock solid and the walls were extremely thin. Would never stay here again.

Yes it’s old, yes it’s cobbled together. Mismatching furniture etc. but it’s clean enough. Very comfy. Has all the amenities you need for a short stay. Tired grandeur. Lovely staff. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed in the Adelphi lots of times the rooms are always clean if a little tired. The housekeeping staff are lovely and friendly and should get a well deserved thank you.

Upon the arrival at the hotel, my son and I, could not get any services regarding refreshments etc from the lounge area that we were directed to.. Although several other patrons had been served and waited on. We were observed yet completely ignored. However upon leaving the hotel I must say that the staff were really good and helped with our luggage as I am disabled. Helen, one of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and I commend her efforts to help.

Not sure what we would find at the Adelphi Hotel, but our room was huge, beautifully decorated, even a fireplace! Two easy chairs and a new bathroom with a super rain shower plus hand shower. Breakfast was good, just let down by the tea and coffee. The hot water wasn’t hot enough and the coffee wasn’t great either. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. Would happily stay here again. Two tips. We were on the first floor which has been renovated. If you have a Blue Badge, parking is free on the fifth floor of the car park across the road, and has a level street pedestrian exit.

6/10 Good

Large hotel, reasonable rooms and services, convenient to Lime St Station and reasonable prices. However, the chicken bones on the parapret outside the room suggested a serious cleaning and maintenance problem. Otherwise, a reasonable place to stay in Liverpool.

The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a city break. Right in the heart of the city, this classic hotel is definitely worth a visit and we will return again next year.

6/10 Good

Our standard room was a bit on the small side and basic. They could have given us a better room and bed. Tired decor. One of the lifts was out of order. Breakfast fine. Location perfect. And clearly used to be quite a grand hotel. Just needs a bit of love. Staff helpful. Room clean.

Good value city centre hotel. Room was clean but dated and most of the lights were not working. Shower was good and plenty of hot water. We stayed for 2 nights and were surprised that our room was not cleaned during our stay. Breakfast was good but no fresh bread only sliced for toast. Waves bar was nice with happy hour until 7 pm ever day. To Sum up we would stay here again due to value for money and location and the grand lounge was very impressive showcasing what a grand building she once was.

Had to check out of our other hotel due to noisy guests and lack of facilities and managed to get booked in here for our 2nd night thankfully, staff helpful and room clean and spacious and quiet.
