Hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants nearby. The famous Tram 28 has a stop nearby which helps avoid crowds that come on at later stops. The hotel has very posh interiors with lots of classic antique furniture. The dining rooms and lounges are worth capturing on photo/video. The wine cellar where you can pour wine from a barrel is an interesting touch. Staff is very helpful. The breakfast setting was lovely and it was a big spread with lots of fruits and baked good. Would have liked more hot food options. The rooms itself vary in size - each one is unique. We found ourselves to be a bit snug. The bathroom had been retrofitted into an existing bedroom. So be prepared for some unusual layouts.

The decor was beautiful, with wonderful furniture and art and quirky layouts that made the old palace charming and inviting and a delight. One of the best hotels in Lisbon. Our twin room with a garden view was clean and cozy, the staff were very attentive, and the location was perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the city center and train station. I would definitely stay here again.

Stunning rooms, very clean, comfortable bed, kind and caring staff, wonderful hot tub and sauna with an appointment and you can also make an appointment for a massage. It's centrally located and can easily access downtown neighborhood and other nearby neighborhoods with fantastic shops. Very walkable, keep in mind that the tiles you walk on are from the 1700's, they're rocks that have been polished from so many walking on them and can be a bit slippery at times. There is a parking garage right next to the hotel if you're not able to find street parking. Overall a home away from home.
