We enjoyed staying at the Lokal Hotel. The location was off the beaten path so it was quiet, but very walkable to the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross house, shops and restaurants. Parking is separate but only a few blocks from the hotel and the staff at the garage was wonderful. We also ate breakfast at the Cafe just a few doors down and would highly recommend. The room was as described, very clean with a lot of amenities. Just be advised there’s no elevator and the stairs are narrow and steep, so choose your room wisely if you have a lot of heavy luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

This apartment/studio was perfect for a long weekend. Very nice and thoughtful design of the space and amenities. While there is no concierge, the check-in and check-out process was smooth, instructions were clear and easy to understand, and I received quick responses to any questions. Location in old city is excellent and provided a good base for exploring Philly. Highly recommend

Excellent stay. The location was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with my husband. The room we stayed in was just perfect. Self check in was seamless and easy. I was grateful to Lokal for allowing us an early check in due to my having a migraine when I arrived. I felt very accommodated and will absolutely be back. The room is an entire vibe. The room was very nice but unfortunately there was a sex toy left behind in one of the drawers that the staff missed when cleaning the room before we got there. It made me uncomfortable and worried about the cleanliness of the room. I feel this shouldn’t be overlooked as it is a potential health and safety hazard. We booked this spot last-minute during an unexpected overnight layover in Philly and were so glad we did. The location in Old City was perfect—super walkable and felt very safe, even walking to grab a late-night Philly cheesesteak after 11pm on a Saturday. It was a little chilly, but still such a fun way to experience the neighborhood. The property itself was beautiful—exactly as pictured, but honestly even better in person. It was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. We saved it to stay again if we’re ever back in the area! The only small downside was the stairs—being on the top floor meant a bit of a climb, especially with luggage, but the space, view, and location made it totally worth it.

Short trip to Philly. Room and layout was fine with nice view. Overall, comfortable but, bathrooms were not very clean. The floors were dirty and need to be properly cleaned. The grout in many place was BLACK with mold. Faint smell as if an exterminator had been there. Also, the coffee mugs could use replacing, there was a lot of old coffee residue.

The room was beautiful and well appointed. I agree with some others that the curtains need to be darker bc the sun blasts into the room in the morning on this side of the building (we were in the Will room). Refrigerator was making some kind of high-pitched whining when we got in after our concert (after midnight) so we had to wear ear plugs to sleep…and the wooden bed frame is very creaky when your partner rolls over. It was very comfortable though and the amenities were terrific. Getting room access was super easy once we located the entrance door. Loading zone was taken when we arrived, but we were able to pull in at the next block to unload.

This place is a real gem. We stayed at the Betsy - our kids loved the bunk bed. The place was big enough to provide a common space to visit with friends from the city while our kiddos went to sleep earlier. It has a great vibe and feels like you’re a local vs staying at a chain hotel. Plus the Betsy is only on the 2nd floor. They also suggested very close parking for only $30 a day. It was very locally oriented with all the historical sites and has a great coffee place across the street. Best part, doesn’t feel haunted at all for being such an old location. Definitely suggest staying here.

The hotel room was very clean, and the location is perfect. It’s situated on a lovely street filled with boutique shops and cafés. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen, as well as a washer and dryer, which made traveling with kids so much more convenient. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
