Great hotel, really close to Gunwharf Quays and Historic Dockyard and right across the road from railway station. We had a room on 3rd floor and it was very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful bathroom with lovely shower. Very good breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Really good for our visit to Portsmouth Dockyard in its centralised location. We drove from Surrey but coming by train would have been even easier! Would have liked a box of tissues, and was slightly chilly as the heating wasn't on. Maybe my fault for not understanding the workings of the radiator. Good breakfast, and cheerful staff throughout. Thank you.

Perfect location on the waterfront and for shopping at Gunwharf. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking is round the back and a real bonus. TV in our room wasn’t a smart TV and drinking water in the room would have been nice. Other than that would definitely recommend.

A very well kept hotel with lovely rooms and good breakfast. All the facilities you need for your stay is available. Remember this hotel is situated perfectly for the Royal Naval Docks and the shopping and restraunts that are there. But it also comes with the railway station and bus station so don't expect a peaceful weekend. Last bus and train seems to be 1a.m. Others wise perfect for a great weekend for shopping, eating and seeing the Mary Rose. Well worth the price.

We only had a short stay at the Ship Leopard hotel being a transit from train to the morning ferry. The hotel is perfectly located immediately across the street from the train station, but offered so much more. Surrounded by great restaurants, historic sites, and shopping, it turned out to be the perfect location for our visit to Portsmouth Harbor. The hotel itself is very comfortable with a friendly staff and good amenities. The room was comfortable and made for a nice stay.

Every time we come to Portsmouth, we stay at this fabulous boutique hotel. David and Jeremy on reception pretty much seem to run the hotel. They are so kind, very helpful and always happy to have a chat. The rooms are very comfortable and if you get the harbour view rooms, the view of Spinnaker Tower and HMS Warrior is wonderful. With a two minute walk to the Historic Docks in one direction and a five minute walk to Gunwharf Quay in the other, the bus and train station being opposite the hotel too, this place could not be better situated.

We were so lucky this hotel had a free room on the evening when our overnight ferry was cancelled with only a few hours notice. I had travelled seven hours by train and there hadn’t been a buffet cart on it so by the time I arrived I was thirsty and hungry.The very kind gentleman at reception gave me the bedroom keys , fresh milk for my cuppa tea and some breakfast cereal! The room was great with a fan and very comfy bed. We didn’t have the breakfast as we had to leave at 6 am to catch the new ferry. The free car park was great and secured Portsmouth is a pretty expensive place to stay but we felt we had good value as we do appreciate kindness, clean rooms and a comfy bed! We will be back another time to see the Mary Rose Museum and HMS Victory…. Portsmouth is a great place to learn more about naval history, great shops and Brasserie Blanc for supper was formidable!( a great start to our French holiday)
