Extremely small! The tiniest ever and I live in Manhattan. Can definitely find better for similar price.

Rooms are TINY but knew that when made the reservation. It really didn't matter though because the place is really funky, the staff is overly friendly and helpful, and the it's in a really great location. You can't do better if visiting someone at GW. I would definitely stay here again!

Very Good 8.0
Great hotel - hope it costs less the next time!
I live in Baltimore but do a lot of singing in DC, and this night was final dress for a show at the Kennedy Center, followed by a party. We decided to spend the night so we didn't have to drive back early, and for some reason, everything was booked except Hotel Hive (and I think they have one room left) and everything was REALLY EXPENSIVE and I couldn't figure out why. The next morning, I saw college kids in caps and gowns walking down the street and realized it was GWU's graduation (GWU is across the street). Oops. That's why it cost so much. I'd be happy to stay there again when the rates are a little more reasonable. The way I looked at it, my rehearsal fee basically paid for the hotel, so it was kind of worth it so I didn't have to drive all the way home late at night, and we ran errands on the way back the next day. But yikes. It bills itself as minimalist, but it really was just right. It was just as appointed as other hotels I've stayed in in NYC.
