Book your stay at the Westin, Washington DC Center
Our stay was relaxing and the hotel staff was friendly, professional, and very accommodating. They assisted us every opportunity they could. We will definitely book another stay at this Westin location when we return to Washington, DC.

What was expected.
Great room-good sized, nice view, gym good, location great, staff friendly and helpful. Room service took a bit longer than expected the onsite parking fee is outrageous (definitely better paying a private lot elsewhere) . Perfect location to walk to places, including the White House and the metro station.

Good hotel, some issues
The hotel itself was nice and also the area surrounding it. Although, there were some issues that came up right from the start. Check-in was very easy and the front desk was very helpful with our request for a cot . We were given the wrong room and once the situation was fixed we were told a cot would not fit in our room therefore we could no longer get one. Also one of us sat on the corner of the bed and the leg collapsed (it was previously broken). Pluses were we were given fresh towels and water at no request, valet staff was very polite, and great location. All things considered I would probably try out another horel.

A Notch Below Average
I decided to get a hotel room for the night as my neighbor was having a loud dinner party. The Westin is a big property in the heart of Washington, DC and it's highly overrated. The building itself is well maintained. Service is the issue. To begin with, the Westin makes it as impersonal as it can possibly be done on interacting with guests. Expect the same experience of calling your cable company's 1800-kiss your time goodbye. It takes some patience to be transferred a few times before, if you get lucky, talking to someone who actually knows what is going on. I left the hotel about 2 hours after I checked in because the bed was not comfortable, the room was uninteresting and the money hungry staff was not really up to help. I also ordered a burger for which they charged me $45. Yeah... about that burger... absolutely ordinary. Not bad, not good. Most definitely, by any stretch of imagination, not worth 45 bucks. Check out the picture and see for yourself. There is a $12 delivery fee, because it takes a lot of effort to have a burger with soggy french fries delivered from the lobby to the 1st floor. I learned my lesson. It's my second time staying at the Westin. I am NOT coming back. It is just not worth it. For $200 you have way better options in downtown DC. Save yourself the aggravation and go some place else!
