I always stay here!

This is an older, historic hotel, and you can tell they try really hard to keep it up while preserving its history. It’s clean, and the staff is AMAZING and friendly. I always stay here if rooms are available, and get a lake view room. Location can’t be beat!

Very Comfortable Hotel

I already look forward to my next stay at the Gunn House Hotel again. Very nice staff, really good breakfast and cool AC for the hot days. The location is very near restaurants, convenience stores and bars. We had a great time. It's rustic, but quite comfortable.

The Gunn Hotel was such a joy to stay at. It is a historic building in a California gold mining town, and it embraces that fact. My wife & I werent the only ones taking pictures around the hotel & its grounds. The staff was friendly and I really appreciated their dining recommendations

Charming

The motel is 175 years old, so the condition isn't perfect, but I thought that was part of the charm. The decor and antiques added to the overall aesthetic of the place. The property manager is eager to please to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast (included) had a waffle maker and hot quiche. I very much enjoyed my stay and would stay again if I find myself in the area in the future.
