It was ok...
This hotel is in the perfect spot for Yosemite as you can't beat the location! The restaurant on site is "different" and was a bit odd in how they were set up but that could be because we visited in the off season. The front desk staff are not friendly at all but the gift shop and store are nice and worth a look.

Riverside Room
The area is really nice, isolated. We got a riverside room and the view was awesome. I liked all except the fact that you have to pay for the wifi separately. Rooms were nice, clean with all necessities for a one-night stop.

he restaurant sucks!
The restaurant food was not good! I ordered chicken Marsala and got a chicken breast with a sauce that was not Marsala and my fiancé got a steak that was not seasoned and possibly cooked on a George Forman. It was $73 for a disgusting dinner! Everything else about the hotel was amazing though!!!

Will stay here again
We always stay here when we come to Yosemite. It’s close, comfortable, clean and quiet. The mattress is perfectly acceptable. The Kitchenette is clean and had everything we needed. We had a room with a balcony by the river and kept the door ajar — liked hearing the river, it also provided white noise for any other outside sounds. We had a gas fireplace. Specious room, tall ceilings.

payed for a night and I didn’t stay there!
I booked a night on 1/26, to stay on 2//8/20. I chose a hotel to pay when arrived. I don’t check my emails daily and a week later saw an email...stating that they could not process the $ from my card. I also got an email from booking. Com staying that I needed to call them to Reinstate my reservation. It was past the deadline, so I figured it was no longer a reservation. I then booked another reservation at another hotel and thought I was good. Went to Yosemite, had a nice trip and stayed at the other hotel that was farther away and not as nice as this hotel looked in pictures. Came home and two days later got charged for a night in this hotel??? I called and was helped by a man, who wasn’t very kind and didn’t care that I got charged for a night, even though we didn’t stay there. I explained the emails and he said that there was nothing he could do. “ Bye” so I have to give a mad face for costumer service...and even though I got annual Yosemite pass, I will never stay there! It is a close location and it had small kitchen area for you to bring snacks, drinks and lunch stuff( great for families). But it was just a bad experience and I don’t think it was fair...especially if I had to call them back by a deadline to retain the reservation. Lesson learned when using websites to book hotels.....always cross your T’s and dot your I’s. $143 is a weeks groceries for our family.

Great lodge with an excellent location
I went with my family on January 2020 to visit the Yosemite park and found this lodge to be impeccable. Very close to the entrance of the park, cozy, clean. Be prepared to pay $10 per day for internet access, but it is understandable due to the remoteness of the location. Staff is super friendly, especially María at the front desk who gave us plenty of recommendations during our stay. Next time we go to Yosemite, we will definitely be staying here again.

The room was next to the swimming pool equipment room. So, we had a loud sound of something running all night..
