The hotel is set in lovely grounds and our balcony looked over the beautiful trees. The room was extremely comfortable and with everything we needed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room service breakfast was excellent. We had a very relaxing stay and look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful stay with a big air conditioned room, wonderful food and a delightful spa/pool.

8/10 Very good

As always a very good job done by housekeeping and the Lodge was spotless. However there were a few things that need attention such as a missing blind and stained carpet. This didn't affect the enjoyment of our stay. The Spa was good and friendly staff. The access to the pool is very restricted for children which is understandable. This will probably mean we are unlikely to return with children although we also visit as a couple.

Great location for the beaches. We have stayed a few times to visit family and find it very good every time. Rooms very clean, staff helpful and friendly, good Breakfast but pre book as it’s cheaper. 100% recommend.

Clean rooms, lived the Earl Grey teas. Breakfast was very good, my wife often ordered from the menu. Staff were attentive, reception always smiled. Grounds were clean, the pool looked inviting, would have definitely used in warmer days. Although the room was very clean the shower was all open plan with the bedroom, which was strange. The sink could have been deeper made shaving difficult. All very modern but not practical. But none of that spoiled our long weekend. Would go again especially as its do close to the Eden Project.

We had an excellent few days at this hotel. We stayed in a superior double room. It was very spacious , with a large bathroom and a balcony overlooking the grounds. It was useful having a chilled cabinet and other facilities such as an iron and ironing board. Tea bags , coffee, water and biscuits were replenished daily and the toiletries were of a nice quality. We ate 4 times at the hotel as the food was so good. They had a good range of gluten free options and this was one of the reasons we chose to stay here ( I checked out the menu pre - stay). We felt the prices were a good price considering the high quality of the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay here again.

Lovely tranquil lodge in well maintained peaceful grounds. Nice spa and pool facilities. Did not eat in the restaurant. Bar staff and spa staff were very friendly and helpful.

6/10 Good

The room felt like it was in the next town, it was so far away from reception! Up 2 floors in a lift then 2 further floors by stairs.... We chose the hotel because it had a pool but we never even saw it, was so far from our room. The breakfast receptionist was very good as was the breakfast, plenty of choice. We had room service one evening, very swift service and excellent food. Maybe we should have asked for a room nearer the facilities. The distance really spoilt it for me.

The staff were so welcoming, the restaurant staff were very helpful arranging suitable meals with the chef for my partner who has dietary requirements. Our room was excellent along with the spa, we had a very enjoyable 6 night stay and hope that we will be able to return in the not too distant future.

The hotel and room were spotless. It was a very comfortable stay and we’ll certainly return. The wet spa was first class and we enjoyed the pool and steam room each day. The gym was small but well equipped. The grounds were well maintained with facilities for children.

Excellent standard for a dog friendly hotel. Whilst the team behind the bar could not of been friendlier and helpful a warmer welcome on arrival would have made the whole experience perfect. Will definitely be booking again as so easy and wonderful that our fur pups are so welcomed 👍

We stayed in one of the lodges. Was the perfect mix of hotel amenities and privacy. Was a home away from home, with breakfast on the balcony each morning in the sunshine.

6/10 Good

The staff at the Cornwall were great and very responsible both at the reception, spa and the bar/restayrant. The hotel has a nice spa, great grounds and is a good central location from which to explore many parts of Cornwall. Unfortunately, our stay was just OK as the room we were initially given was poorly cleaned. It smelt of dogs and there were many hairs all over the carpet. We were swiftly moved rooms without much fuss (which was much appreciated), unfortunately the room we were moved to was clean for the most part but had glasses that were dirty (thick white stains at the bottom) and a kettle that had black sludge in the bottom. Minor points but after having already had to ask to move rooms it put a downer on things. When we checked out our issues weren’t really acknowledged by the receptionist other than a simple “we’re sorry” which was a little disappointing.
