Great place if you are coming by boat. Located right on the marina in Nantucket. Two minutes from Main St where all the stores and restaurants are located. The hotel provides transportation to town and to the beaches (not to or from the airport). Cottages are tiny but well maintained. By tiny I mean there is not even place for night stands in the bedroom with a queen size bed (only one tiny bed side table) and no bedside light. Sound insulation is terrible - you can hear the people talking walking by and loud noises from the other floor of your house. Most cottages are two story with separate rooms on the first and second floor, and you can hear people on the other floor. Other than that they are cute and centrally located

We had a fantastic stay at The Cottages at the Boat Basin in Nantucket. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Just cannot praise the staff enough—Cesal was even there waiting for us as soon as our feet landed off the ferry. What really stood out was how much they loved our goldendoodle. They greeted him with Nantucket gear, toys, treats, offered him a plush bed, and made sure we had everything we needed to keep him comfortable. It’s rare to find a place that is not only dog-friendly, but truly dog-loving, and The Cottages absolutely delivered. We left feeling relaxed, appreciated, and already excited to come back. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a furry family member.

A fun place to stay right on the boat basin. Convenient to town, shopping, dining and the Wave (bus). Parking was a bit of a problem but in the nature of the location.
