Elevator and hallway smelled a little bit like weed, main room light did not turn on, lampshade was torn, smoke detector, battery popping out. Jim and exercise room was in the neighboring hotel basement, which isn’t it because you’re having a hotel. Staff was nice. Breakfast was as expected for a franchise hotel.

My first impression was very positive with everything looking fresh and clean. We stayed three nights and our beds were straightened up each day. We spilled crumbs from our breakfast treat and I was surprised that the rug wasn't vacuumed. The bathroom was large and appeared to be recently renovated with double sinks, a shower and separate bathtub!! There were soap dispensers attached to the walls for the shower and sinks but there wasn't a dispenser for the bathtub so I was unable to enjoy a bath! The rooms were very quiet despite the hotel being occupied by many young children who were allowed to run around the hotel with no adult supervision! Hopefully the place will be less chaotic the next time we stay there! The location is very central and there is a new ice cream store called Dumont Creamery up El Camino that was outstanding, especially the strawberry cream flavor!

I room was booked for a family member who was visiting me. The guest got red rash and swelling all over their torso, some on legs and arms, within an hour of going to bed. The staff was helpful in moving the guest to a different room at night. The rash subsided in the new room, but the redness took about 36 hours to recover. The hotel is clean and has good amenities but probably used some product to clean sheets that caused a reaction or maybe something leftover from a previous guest. The staff at the reception were courteous but unable to provide a refund or compensation. Might be ok place to stay for most guests, but I would not rebook.

The rooms are very big. Bed, linen and breakfast are all pretty good. But the AC doesn't work. Adjusting the thermostat temperature or fan speed doesn't do anything. Staff couldn't help either.
