The inside of this hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s clean, everything is new and it’s a level of comfort that you expect from a Hyatt. The rooms are all redone or are being redone, and it’s really just a lovely hotel. When you step outside into the Embarcadero Plaza, be prepared to meet with all different kinds of people. There’s a fountain flowing green water which looks like sewage, and while we were there there were two homeless people sunbathing in it. The area it’s just a mess, but we felt safe, and the hotel provided all the comforts needed for a fun weekend to get away. What they’d the stay less than amazing was the front desk swindling, and how they are very shady about telling you about charges, upgrades, etc. our room that we had reserved months in advance wasn’t ready, even though it was well after check in time and the front desk said he was going to upgrade us at no additional charge and when we checked out we had an additional fee of $200 on our bill, that does not include The additional cost of parking at the hotel of $80. They also tell you that you get an in room credit at $15 a day, but when we got our final bill which they emailed to you and do not discuss at the desk when you’re checking out… this wasn’t the case. Just make sure and check your invoice before leaving the hotel. It’s like a used car lot with all the stuff they try to add on.

We had a really nice view from the balcony and the beds were very comfortable. Clean rooms and the location was wonderful. Will definitely go back next time we visit SF!
