With its beautiful public areas, lots of Art books for reading, courtyard restaurant and pool this was a perfect hotel in the heart of Lisbon with easy walking to the old part of town. The staff were friendly. My room was available an hour before official check in time. I had a corner room with lots of light facing the court yard. I was greeted with a hand written note and a box with two Portuguese tarts when I got to my room. I swam in the pool. It is just long enough to swim a five stroke lap which I was able to do as I was the only one in the pool. I ate dinner both nights in the restaurant and the food and ambiance were lovely.

Lovely property right in the middle of all the action. Staff were excellent - warm, welcoming and professional. Breakfast choices were plentiful - the Eggs Benedict very tasty - with fresh squeezed juices, and great coffee. Our highest recommendation is that we will stay there again on our next visit to Lisbon.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by a wonderful staff. They were just great!! They arranged transportation for us as needed. The breakfast was wonderful in the mornings with again very nice staff! Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay. It is situated on the main avenue which made it a central location for walking to most things and obviously every store you could imagine if you like to shop.

Wonderful hotel, centrally positioned on a beautiful avenue of expensive shops. Very well positioned for visiting all the sights of Lisbon. What an oasis Hotel Valverde is! Welcoming front desk, beautiful garden dining with friendly wait staff, and tasty food. The location is perfect. Step outside and walk right or left to experience the delights of Lisbon. Our room was comfortable and calming. And if you require anything, the staff will go all out for you with smiling faces. Stylish, centrally located hotel with helpful staff. The only negative was the restaurant, which, unusually for a Relais and Chateau property, wasn't good. The food was heavy and tasteless, and the music was so loud it was hard to hold a conversation. Breakfast, however, was fine.
