Great location and service
The place is above a bar, which can be either be a pleasant surprise or not depending on how much you like to drink. It is right across one of the stations which we found extremely convenient to move around London. The service was great, and everything worked as expected. We where there during the winter. The only thing was that the room next to us was very loud during the night, so we had some issues while resting, so I would say that the walls may be a bit thin, yet to be fair, the people right next to us were being VERY loud. Besides this issue, which was no fault of the hotel, but rather other guests, our stay here was very pleasant. Would seriously consider coming back again given the location, the bar and excellent breakfast downstairs (breakfast is included and it’s pretty good), and the good service we received during our stay.

Good spot
The rooms were above the pub and close to Waterloo Station. We got a wonderful free breakfast in the morning. It was the perfect, low cost option for our night out.

Great except the bed
Everything was great about the Wellington expect one side of the mattress seemed to be totally separating. Felt like huge gap separation in it(Room 16). Staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast was great. Loved the convenience of the location right across the the underground. Outside area can be a little noisy at night, but that didn’t bother us. Lively pub with great atmosphere.I’d return to the Wellington on another visit, but not in that bed.

Good place to stay
The stay was great. The hotel was very accommodating. Our room was on the 3rd floor. There was no air conditioning so it was very warm. There was a fan, but it made things a little uncomfortable. Also, on the 3rd floor, the Wi-Fi was very spotty. The place is great and would still recommend it.

Pros and Cons
The staff was great! The bed was comfortable, and the traditional English breakfast was excellent. The drawbacks were the late night, loud activity going on in the pub downstairs along with the noisy street and city life outside our closed windows as well as the clear view straight into our 2nd floor room from the street. With all the hotels in London, the Wellington was conveniently located, however, I would not stay there again.

Great location!
Nice and cozy. The room was pretty small, but everything was nice and clean. The bathroom was nice and newly remodeled. The price was very reasonable and I was very happy with everything for the price. The location was great—in walking distance to the London eye, the on-off buses and the Waterloo underground and rail station.

This place would be great for young people who don't care about sleeping or comfort. Morning breakfast ladies are wonderful. Trains are too loud for ear plugs if you want window open, no A/C. Pub is loud and packed during the week. No hot water in the morning, manager didn't seem to care. Good location though.
