We loved the relaxed and efficiently unobtrusive way the hotel was run

This is an excellent and good value hotel just a short distance from Porthcurnick Beach and a 15 minute walk from Portscatho. In a quiet location and set within lovely gardens that include several children’s games. We eat in 1 night which was well prepared and stayed in a 2 bed studio which was spacious and benefited from 2 bathrooms. The staff were great from beginning to end. We would definitely return . 1 small issue was very quickly resolved

6/10 Good

This doesn't really feel like a hotel. There is no recognisable restaurant or bar - the menu is limited. The studio I stayed in was practical but not pretty. I can't speak for the rooms in the main building. This place is ok if you want absolutely nothing around except a view across to the next village, the vegetarian breakfast was nice though.

Clean room
Verified review

6/10 Good

Location great, I had studio 1, could have been cleaner and the outside area is not pleasant, very uninviting, the patio set is old, the plants, some dead, some overgrown, fencing broken. With a little love and care could be great! Pillows uncomfortable and no variety. Shower room lights flicker. Would return but not to that room!

Gem of a find

Easy check in, friendly staff. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, excellent in room facilities. Beautiful views, quiet location, lovely 3 course evening meal.

A tranquil and welcoming space.

Thank you .... So glad we stayed a night here... A welcoming and relaxing one-night stay while on our Salt Path adventure. We wished we could have stayed longer, it was so lovely. Attention to detail made this especially memorable—many thanks.

I was staying for business, so it would have been nice if breakfast could have been available before 8.30am. Otherwise, all lovely and a great sea view.

We will return very soon

Beautiful sea view studio with everything we needed. Short walk to the beach and coastal walk to Portscatho passing the Hidden Hut cafe is a must. Very friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Lovely swimming pool which you book to use just for your own use. Cannot fault anything.

The beach was beautiful. The décor has a slightly shabby chic style, although some areas could do with updating. We only stayed for one night, but we would definitely come back again. The location is excellent.

The staff (Bea, Noah, Sarah, Freddie and Todd the chef) made me feel very welcome, which is something you appreciate when you travel solo. At the end of day, the Rosevine is a very delightful hotel.

4/10 Fair

The hotel seemed nice enough and is in a good location. Unfortunately, whrn we plugged a phone charger in on arrival to our room the plug point sparked and the electricity circuit fuse tripped. I reported this immediately to the member of staff in reception. Nothing was done about it. The kitchenette circuits - fridge, kettle, toaster - and bedside lamps were off so I went back to reception to find a member of staff - no one was there (Sunday evening). We had to make do without and plugged the kettle into a hallway point for our morning coffee. Not ideal.

Clean room with everything I needed. Furniture in the room could do with an upgrade, some of it looked quite tired and old although this didn’t affect the stay. Nice to be able to book and have exclusive use of the pool
