Brilliant weekend stay at this old hall Staff were so friendly and made us so welcome . Given an upgrade to a huge room with Four poster bed which we were thrilled with Food was lovely ...maybe too big a portion for us !!!!!! We have never visited The Lakes and wanted an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Would highly recommend staying here. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The food for the evening meal in the restaurant was lovely followed by breakfast the next day, with plenty of options. Also helped with have parking facilities on site and free for visitors to the hotel. Was not disappointed with our stay, and would definitely visit again in the future

Clean room - good size although rather dated. Bathroom needs updating and shower door did not close properly. Really good breakfast and evening meal. Service staff at breakfast were excellent, helpful (plenty of tips as to where to visit), and exceptionally friendly. Evening wait-on staff - one young lady was extremely attentive although the other one was less so. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the external of the building needs a lot of investment. However all in all the stay which we booked through Hotel.com was reasonably priced and overall we enjoyed our peaceful stay.

Superb Hotel

This is a superb hotel, I was met with a very warm greeting, all of the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough. My room (Le Meschin) was huge with a superbly comfortable four poster bed and a multi-function shower in the en suite that was perfect after my day of cycling. Food was great, location excellent, I have already recommended to friends
