Location is great. Sİnce it's on the high street, there is a good choice of shops. We just got the keys so didn't interact with the staff much. I cannot comment on that. It's a tired building. Room was ok, could have been cleaner.

Location fantastic,staff very friendly, breakfast was great parking was ok too. The room was a big let down, I have stayed there before and said that the rooms looked tired and I was assured that they were being upgraded in January . Perfect ‘treat’ break … lovely pub/hotel. The weather was superb too! Room was everything we would put on a wish list (it was a great price on our budget so didn’t get church tower & high st views) but everything so easily walkable. Lots cafes restaurants but chose hotel as vg menu choice on a Sunday night! Thanks to all staff who were extremely accommodating & friendly. We will def visit again.

Good parking facilities. Hotel is right in town which is a real bonus. Staff were helpful and friendly. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. We went instead to a very charming cafe just for a change. Unfortunately the down side of the hotel are the rooms. We had a twin room, nice view and large. However the decor was very tired and frankly grubby. The bathroom was ok but if you tried turning round in the bath whilst having a shower you could, and I did, crack your head on the lowered ceiling which was half way across the bathroom. Hard to explain but was very unpleasant. It really should be completely renovated. Maybe this was only in our room. Who knows.
