Had another good overnight stay at The Elmwood. Small room, but ideal, with good shower and comfortable bed. Friendly greeting again.

Good greeting on check in everything was well explained. The room was ok. It did the job of a bed for the night and convenient for Kings Cross station. Although it says to use the locker provided and

Stay was better than expected - perfect location for kings cross station. Breakfast- croissants, cereal, toast and meats/cheese not bad value. Service good - would probably stay again!

Room was small and clean. But in basement under the reception. The reception has a creaky floor so everytime anyone walked around there it was noisy in the room. Also shower was only trickling

This was great for us, location very close to Kings Cross, perfect for an overnight stay. The room was small but clean and fine for a short stay. The staff were very friendly, all good.

Perfect budget hotel for the price. Clean comfortable bed and, while the shower is a bit tight, it’s plenty powerful and hot enough. Easy to find and plenty of good places to eat and drink nearby.

Small single room. Laminate floor could do with replacing very worn but roo was clean and comfy for 1 night stay close to Kings Cross for onward travel on Eurostar. Staff were friendly. Overall a nice stay.

Great place for Eurostar.

We stayed here for a night before catching the Eurostar it was a very short walk to st Pancaras to get the train also easily placed for the tube. We went to the west end to catch a show the night before. There was 3 of us and the room was small a double bed and a single however it was literally somewhere to catch a few hours sleep and for the price we paid for 3 people it was well worth it. I used the shower and it was perfectly adequate. If you want somewhere clean and close to the station and central London then this is perfect. All staff I spoke to were polite and informative. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

Honored to be a 'regular' guest

The staffs are simply amazing, so helpful, friendly, and personable, almost like family friends once we get to know them. So comfortable to stay. Some noise from the outside or other guests with young children can be a bit disturbing but that cannot be helped and the staff will try to accommodate the needs, wonderful!

No air conditioner, super tiny and loud if you open the window. Convenient location close to train and bus station

Nice little hotel

Staff were very friendly and check in was quick and easy. The room was small and basic, but perfectly acceptable. Ideal location for the Eurostar as it’s literally 9 minutes walk.

One Night Stay at Elmwood Hotel in September.

The Elmwood is close to Kings Cross Station and 5 minutes from Euston too, which is convenient. The single bed room (No.3S) was ideal for my one night stay, with comfortable bed and en-suite bathroom & shower. It is on basement level. There a TV on the wall and Tea making facility. Even though a little renovation could tidy the bathroom (crack in sink and corrosion of tap) it was good value and the staff were helpful. Unfortunately, there was a bit of floor board thumping and squeaking this morning at 6am, as people walked on the floor above ! But despite that, I am going back again in November.
Comfortable single bed.
Shower, sink and toilet.
TV, desk & wardrobe, with window to the enclosed small yard.

The location was convenient as it is close to Kings Cross and ST Pancras. It was a bit cold in the room on the first night and i told the front desk but nothing was done. I asked for extra blanket but it was not placed in the room. On the third night, the heater finally came on because i assume other guests had also mentioned it. Room was clean but dated. The shower faucet was really high and not movable so one had to remove it from the holder as the water would spray to the other wall.

Friendly hotel, be aware of bring your own

Very convenient hotel near St Pancras. It is located in a quiet street. Friendly staff at the reception all the time. Simple bedroom but it serves its purpose. Booked the breakfast, continental, again friendly staff bringing you freshly toasted bread. If you have specific requirements such as not cow milk or green tea bring your own as the choice is cafe or English tea. For the mobile, be aware to bring your own electric plug to reload. No hairdryer neither so bring your own. A towel to put on the floor near the shower would be good to prevent slipping. I was at the top floor without lift, so if you have a heavy bag or physical conditions, specify it at booking

I stay here each week when I work in London. Very polite staff, lovely stay.
Janet, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The location of the hotel was great. However, the hotel is very old and needs updating. The bedding is not clean and the room was very small. There was one very small bar for four of us and no shower gel. I asked for extra shampoo and shower gel and was told that I can't have them both! They gave me a very cheap and bad quality shampoo only so I walked to the shops and bought shower gel and shampoo. They charged a lot of money for a very small room and dirty beds. I will never go back there again.

Good location, but very poor quality hotel.

Staff were pleasant, its in a good location but thats the only positives to be found here. The hotel is in need of a complete make over, really does need modernising. Everything is very old, the mattress should have been replaced years ago and offered no support. Pillows are of low quality and super thin.
