The staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome. There is ample free parking on site and my room exceeded my expectation, with bottled water, biscuits and tea/coffee. A comfy double bed with a TV with a selection of movies on demand and a heating unit which I was very grateful for as it was Christmas. Overall, a lovely place to stay with good people all amongst Epping forest. Will definitely stay again when I am down that way. Thank you!

Surprisingly lovely for an overnight stay . The staff was very friendly . Very handy if you are visiting friends around Loughton area and miller and Carter restaurant is 5mins drive away. Thank you so much

Last minute and late checking in at night

Last minute booking and was easy to check in late at night , Its on a road that is busy so not very quiet but its not a problem, was clean and comfortable staff are very friendly and helpful definitely book again as convenient and value

Hotel for value and location

Ive stayed here a few times and each time there has been renovations going on and can see a good improvement. Its close to London and convenient for access to motorways , its basic budget rooms are like a motel , they are clean and furnished, nicely decorated and comfortable. They are priced very affordable and has wifi and parking . I will and would recommend this budget hotel for price convenient location for travel on and out of london its a really great place to stay .

Seemed to be in the midst of redevelopment, I overslept which is a decent indication of comfort, warm shower and I could park directly out front, I don’t require much from my hotel stops just a comfortable place to sleep

NYE overnight stay

Was a good one night stay. Room was absolutely fine, clean and comfortable. Reception were friendly and actually showed us to room. The only down side was the other guests. There was a lot of shouting and banging outside in the car park. That’s not the hotel’s fault really but maybe there should have been some sort of security to tell unruly selfish guests to behave.

The layout of the room was good. Unfortunately it needed a good refurb. Carpers and seating stained. 1 small sofa for 3 people so my daughter had to sit on a stool. Facilities were good. Fridge was smelly. Heater was very noisy but as 3 heaters was able to turn the one in the bedroom off. Stank of cigarettes. But very friendly staff. Tokd tge cafe would be open but everything was closed on the Sunday. No staff to check out. Ok for 1 night.

Clean and comfortable but would not stay again

difficult to be sure you were at the correct place - no business name. check in was in what seemed to be an old cafe of sorts. Very friendly check in. room was at the end of a passage next to a room (laundry for hotel) which was tied up with some sort of cloth - see picture when returned after first night to see the linen room. view outside terrible could do with a cut back. neighbours up after 12 bashing something in their back yard (why i assume there are residents there as they have access to the back yard. bed comfortable, had a good heater in and room clean. bathroom clean but falling apart - hand rail would not hold a towel, toilet looked like it was about to fall over (especially when in the bath). it looks like it was a hotel and now there are permanent residents in the rooms - expensive cars outside made me think this was the case. no one there when checking out - left key card back in room on bed

Needs work

The room smelt kind of swampy and the bed was uncomfortable. The shower head was also pointed across the room and couldn't be adjusted, so don't leave your socks on the side of the sink. The plug sockets weren't held on properly, and there wasn't any shower gel. Other than that, it was pretty dicey.
