We enjoyed our stay at Furzeleigh Mill. It is a boutique hotel that clearly prides itself on its ambiance and quality of service. The setting is excellent for anyone who wants to hike the moors, and the owner and staff were very helpful in providing directions to the best trails. We highly recommend staying here for a couple of days.

Arrived Sunday afternoon. Welcomed by the multi tasking receptionist. Warm and friendly booked in shown to our room. Old timber beams ,great view of buckfast village. Right next to the A38, so convenient for Plymouth or Exeter, for example. Lovely setting, quiet, friendly and a lovely room. I didn’t eat or drink there, but the provided me with a breakfast bag as I had to leave early. Near a national trust site (the abbey, I think) and I expect a good base to explore the region as right on the edge of Dartmoor, I think and not too far from the south coast
