I love Edinburgh I was a student there for 5 years so I'm biased. There's something magical about it for me. The fact it's walkable and you're surrounded by Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Craggs and the castle it's like a film set. Also feel safe there.

How many people wake up to a view of a castle. Traditional music on the street. Friendly people who would show you directions without a second thought. it's extremely picturesque. Hiking, castles, art and music. I would move to this city if I could.

Edinburgh has got a lot to offer and is very walkable. I would recommend visiting Dean Village, Old Town, Calton Hill, st Giles, Cathedral, Bus Tour, The Royal Botanic Gardens. Museums are mostly for free, unless there's a temporary exhibition on.

I have wanted to visit Edinburgh and all of Scotland for over 50 years. My jaw was always dropped from the beauty of this city and this countryside. The buildings in Edinburgh are gorgeous. The people are lovely. The history of this country is tops.

Great shopping in St James Centre. Also recommend Bonnie and Wild marketplace to eat with a great choice of food and drinks. Edinburgh playhouse nearby. Not far from the Royal mile and the Castle. We went to the Christmas Markets which was great.

We have returned to Edinburgh again and again. Edinburgh is a vibrant city with lots of things to do. As well as historical interest it fronts great shopping, bars, restaurants and so much more. It has an ever changing theme depending on month.

Edinburgh is a great city with many cosy pubs, restaurants and plenty of shopping. Set in a landscape of beautiful buildings and of course the castle. It's also easy to travel from there to the surrounding areas if your looking to see more.

Beautiful city to explore. We loved the castle - much more to see than expected. The open top bus tour was great- we went all the way round first ( about 1 hour) then stopped off at the museum and the palace. Loads of places to eat & drink

Edinburgh is a very touristy city. We enjoyed walking around the sites and taking a bus tour up into the highlands. It was very, very busy when we were walking around the mile, I wouldn't want to attend much later into the busy season.
"Warm welcome on arrival with a busy reception area. Given all the information we required and offered a reduced price on breakfast which we took advantage of. Free tea and coffee on offer beside reception/bar which was a nice touch. Room was perfect for our needs and contained everything you might require such as hairdryer, iron and ironing board, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bed was super comfy and the bed linen was crisp, clean and fresh. Towels were super fluffy and the room and hotel in general was very clean. We enjoyed our breakfast with the usual offerings just be aware the room is not very big so you may have to wait for a table . A great stay and will def use again . "
"Perfect location for the bustling Grassmarket and Old Town. It's also a Fringe venue. Stunning view of the castle. Room clean and tidy. Restaurant served excellent food, bar area could be brighter and more welcoming."
"Pros: Generous living spaces (sofa, dining, kitchen, w/d, d/w), Basic nespresso in room but only provided with 4 pods, and sophisticated coffee/beverage maker in lobby also). Two bedrooms. Tesco supermarket about 2 blocks away. Cons: Occasional awkward to navigate bedrooms as one had no closet (has an exposed organizer and dresser but no place to put suitcase except large closet across hallway), no lotion or conditioner provided (just a soap/shampoo), no a/c, hard to operate w/d. Our room a little noisy as faced the parking lot."
