Had a lovely stay room very spacious. Staff very lovely making us feel at home. Food and drink so cheap too. Location was great lovely little places to drink and eat nearby. Nothing rowdy as pubs and drinking venues close at 11pm. Would definitely go back thank you.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Rockwell Hotel. It was far nicer than I'd expected of a London hotel. The reception staff were lovely and upgraded me to one of the Superior Singles on the top floor: a cosy room with a skylight and a light and airy en-suite (also with skylight). The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable and the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I'll certainly be staying here again next time I visit the area

The air conditioning in the room only worked intermittently; last time I stayed here, the room AC didn't work at all, but at least I could open the window. And the hallway smells of mildew. So, don't be fooled by the crisp comfort of the lobby. The elevator also didn't work properly, which meant that I carried my luggage down the stairs. The front desk staff just keeps repeating "we're doing the best that we can." I've always liked The Rockwell — quiet, comfy beds, great location. But I don't think I'll be back.

The room when we arrived was nothing like the one advertised in the literature. A faded elegance and well overdue for restoration with air conditioning that was delapidated. Kindly they supplied us with an additional free standing unit which not only sounded like a traction engine but was also very ineffective. The lift was also only partially functional with only basic controls effective. The staff were delightful including the bar staff who were most attentive. Breakfast looked very nice indeed with a good freshly cooked selection and plenty of cold offerings. Overall a pleasant hotel in an excellent location with excellent staff but a number of rooms need a major refit.

Good location but room very outdated. The cups and mugs supplied were really dirty and there was only one tiny milk carton and tea bag provided per person, there are so small you’d need 3-4 per person. Staff were nice and the room was spacious
