My stay at Chateau Dumont was the worst service I have ever experienced in Aspen. They did not give us a key to our condo until 3 hours after our check in time, so our family of seven was stuck waiting outside the condo for 3 hours for someone to bring us a key. The listing says it comes with a parking pass, but there are only 4 spots available for the 12 or so Dumont condos, so you will have to find your own parking around town as the 4 spots were taken by cars that never moved during our 4 night stay. The concierge delivered our lift tickets to the wrong location and just blamed another company. We requested a cleaning service for the 3rd day of our stay, but they never showed up and STILL charged us a service fee for the cleaning then we never received a refund for this service fee. I understand things will get mixed up, but I think the important thing is how the management handles the mix ups. In this case, their response was terrible. Each time we called, the person we spoke with blamed the problem on someone else. The manager promised us a refund of one night, but then he never processed the refund until several weeks after our stay and only after I called them to remind them of the promised refund several times. One employee told us this is way Frias mgmt handles customer issues, and he wanted to quit his job. Bottom line, I will never stay at any Frias property again, and I cannot emphasize enough how terrible and disrespectful Frias' service team was to us.
