4/10 Fair

Nice setting, but a party scene
The setting is beautiful. Views were great. The hot springs and pools were nice. However, there were multiple problems with our stay. First, there was no wifi in the room and very little cell reception. If free wifi is advertised, it is expected to be available in the rooms, not just the lodge/front desk. The room had dirty floors, a pill was present in the corner of our bathroom. The shower drain was clogged, or at least very slow to drain. The sink drain was completely open, with no stopper cap. There was a party vibe to the hot springs areas and the rooms. It was extremely crowded with people who were drinking/partying. The people staying in the room next to us partied until 2am. It was extremely loud. We tried calling the front desk or anyone to help and we found out that they are not available after hours. The phone tree never directed us to security or anyone else to help. This resort had a lot of potential, but it was not the relaxing trip we had envisioned. It ended up being a disappointment, especially considering the price.

6/10 Good

Great location, horrible service
We love Mt. Princeton. The hot springs are fantastic and the new creekside cabins are very nice. We've stayed there multiple times, but unfortunately the service was awful this time. We booked through hotels.com and the hotel listing said "pet friendly". There was nothing in the listing stating that the room we booked was not pet friendly. However, when we showed up, they said that creekside rooms were not pet friendly and were extremely rude to us. They told us we should have called and checked...but why would we do that when the booking said "pet friendly". They didn't have another room for us, so they very ungraciously "allowed" us to stay, but charged us an additional $120 to keep our dog with us. In all honestly, I do not have a problem with the fee; I have a problem with how rude they were at check in and their implication that somehow I should have known which rooms were pet friendly and which ones were not.
