The only reason for NOT a 5 star review are the steps that you go down (only 2) to get from the bathroom level to the bed level. I slipped on a step (was barefoot) and fell on my back. Scary, unpleasant and achy. I know the steps can’t be removed, but perhaps non-slip carpet can be installed! The hotel restaurant, Turmeric Kitchen, is outstanding!

Fabulous hotel, well appointed rooms, very quiet and excellent air-conditioning that was so welcome during the heatwave we were having during our stay. Very comfortable beds too. Only downside was we had 2 rooms and one was in a basement with no windows.. it was fine for our 1 night stay but it would have been nice to have been told at check-in we would have no natural light. Would definitely stay again.. but would check our room had windows!
