The Salthouse Harbour Hotel never disappoints, and the recent refurb of the ground floor has improved the bar and expanded the restaurant. The staff are always very helpful, and we love the location. Breakfast is lovely, if slightly pricey, but there are other options nearby if you fancy a change. We will be back soon!

I booked 2 rooms to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. The hotel were extremely accommodating with our room request. We booked spa access for the morning of departure. The spa is an excellent addition to the hotel with great views over the harbour. Only one small negative … we were told at the bar to find a table & they would take drinks order. We sat outside and waited 10 minutes with no service so ending up leaving and had cocktails elsewhere.

I cannot say enough good things about this visit. We were exhausted from our trip and they just were amazing and made us feel great. This place was so rejuvenating and I didn’t even get a chance to try their spa. Their attention to every little detail was awesome. I strongly urge anyone going to Ipswich to stay at this hotel. I wish I could have spent my entire trip there. It is modern in regard to the bathrooms, which I love!, they have air conditioning, everything is spotless, no mold anywhere even though they are next to harbor. So welcoming. And the harbor view from the room was fantastic. Oh and my drinks and my latte in the morning were awesome too! I will make my future uk itineraries include a visit to this hotel.
