We arrived Saturday afternoon and could not find anywhere to park so the lady behind the bar told us to park in town which we did and then had to carry our luggage from there. Saturday eve we had no hot water to shower, a plumber was called and this was fixed overnight. Sunday morning we waited in breakfast area but nobody came for sometime, when they did come we were told that they do not do food during the week until midday yet we paid for 2 nights bed and breakfast when we booked. The staff were all very helpful during these issues and we are awaiting refunds for breakfast ..

Good sized room and bathroom. Surprisingly quiet as it is on the main road. Only problem was that they have stopped serving breakfast - only brunch after 12 noon. The local cafes were OK but only offered cooked breakfast items; for yoghurt, croissants etc it had to be Tesco next door.

As we arrived to check in the lady was lovely and took us to our room and explained if we needed anything to let her know, which was a lovely. The room was unique as it is in a pub and it did have an en-suite with a shower. The only down side is the sink is low down and you can hit your head on the shelf that is attached to the mirror. We did not try the breakfast But overall we had a great stay.

Its a pub with rooms, bit tired around the edges. Good food in bar. Not great if you are unsready on your feet as old building and uneven floors in the rooms. Access out of pub hours not easy via a very hard to open fire exit to a rear yard and down a narrow set of metal stairs, wouldnt fancy it in the dark. Need to take more care cleaning as trod on glass in the bathroom. As i started its pub with rooms and overpriced for what it is.

Very clean well equipped room on ground floor. Perfect for a dog friendly room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing full English breakfast. Only downside was a bit noisy in the evening, loud music and generatir noise. Ear plugs are thoughtfully provided.

Comfortable room, good atmosphere, good beers, good food albeit a little small in portion size. Parking is limited during busy periods. Breakfast not until 8am Food available until 9pm wifi wouldnt allow streaming to netflix etc..

Exactly what you want from a nice pub with rooms. Clean, comfortable and a large bed. Nice toiletries provided, nice bedding and fluffy towels. Easy to go downstairs for breakfast or dinner or go out to the walkable options. We stayed here to enjoy 100 acre wood which is a short drive or walk away. Friendly staff at the hotel.

Clean and comfortable room. We had a meal in the pub and the food was very good. Church bell was chiming through the night, hotel had thoughtfully supplied earplugs!
