The location is great and front desk staff and porters were all wonderful and professional. The hotel rooms itself even though functional really lacking modern touches( especially bathrooms) and space for proper comfort and most of the furniture feels dated and making quite a lot of old school noises like loud banging of shutting doors and drawers. Breakfast buffet has a lot of potential with interesting unusual choices like cute crudités, but feels rather limited otherwise with some items such smoked salmon instantly disappearing and not being regularly refilled. Overall there was a slight sense of disappointment because of higher expectations for a five star Mayfair experience!

The hotel is beautiful. The room was very pretty. It’s an old building but maintained well. My room had a beautiful terrace which would be lovely for entertaining but the views were looking directly into other buildings on all sides. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because the breakfast that I paid for while booking the room is only continental and not worth the price. Walk around the corner and have a good Full English for less than you pay for the continental. The hotel is in a gorgeous location and close to everything.
