AC was not very good, fortunately it wasn’t too hot when we visited, but would imagine a heat wave would be tough. Hotel was nice, showing its age in places. Staff were helpful and friendly!

Good size deluxe room on the top floor, not much of a view other than the car park. Parking is £17 per night and breakfast quoted at £20 per person per night

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was lovely, our room was luxurious, spacious and clean. Handy location and just across the road from a lovely park

8/10 Very good

The hotel was very good, the issue we had was in the bathroom the lighting was not great & in the room could have done with better lighting by the mirror. Storage was ok for 1 night but Was not enough if for a longer stay as no drawers. Could do with a chest of drawers in the room instead of a table. The staff were very helpful and polite, especially at breakfast. Hotel was in a great position and parking was good.

6/10 Good

We loved the property. It has a lot of history, including hand painted wallpaper in the atrium/stairs that dates back to 1838. Breakfast was good and the staff at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful. Very convenient to walking, shopping and dining. Unfortunately, I only gave 3 stars because the beds and bedding were VERY uncomfortable and the rooms were very warm. We even switched to a new room hoping it would be better but were unfortunately disappointed. If they update their mattresses and bedding, this would be a wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful room with extremely comfortable bed. Great location near a park with nice views and could not be more centrally location for walkabouts of the city, which is very attractive.

8/10 Very good

Stayed here many times over the years. Great location, character building, friendly staff, superb breakfast, easy parking. Tempered on this particular occasion by ineffective room air conditioning and a dog basket & dirty glasses to greet us outside the room on arrival. Hopefully these points will get sorted soon.

8/10 Very good

Room was clean, staff were really accommodating. Has breakfast which was really nice. Only thing I think let it down was the air conditioning was not cooling the room down at all which I really could have done with.

We had a great short break at the Queen’s Hotel. Perfectly located, with decent car parking and lovely large rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the free homemade cookies were a nice touch. Overall, a great place to stay for a family getaway.
