An excellent hotel and the staff make you feel so special. There is always a warm welcome. Some of the rooms are a little tired but we still love the aura of this place. The breakfast is lovely. Such a shame its closing for 2 years. Will miss it and its staff.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The building is historic but still maintains a level of grandeur. The rooms are big and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent.

Great location. Staff were both professional and friendly. Continental breakfast was a brilliant option within the price of the booking. Will be sad to the doors close in September.

The hotel has a long reputation for its high standards and the professional welcome from the staff was in line with that. It is still a fine building, the room was very clean and comfortable, whilst the restaurant and public areas showed the history of its spacious previous art-deco glamour, albeit a little faded. It was a shame that no doubt former dress-code standards cannot be maintained in the 21st century as some of the customers appearance, particularly in the bar / restaurant did not match their surroundings. A pleasure to experience traditional high standards.

A shame that the hotel is closing. It’s perfectly located in the centre of Chester. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. My treatment in the spa was excellent.

Clean, well presented hotel in the centre of Chester. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was pleasant and cool. Be mindful of the items in the minibar, while some are free other may incur unexpected costs. The free continental breakfast was a little too formal. The waited service bringing individual items to the table on request was new to us. Parking was available on the second floor with an enterance into the hotel but charges apply. A pleasant stay, with a nice range of restaurants and bars.

The Grosvenor is well located, near the Eastgate clock. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel was very comfortable, continental breakfast was more than enough.

Great location being central, not the cheapest but I was on business. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Room was very nice. Believe the hotel is up for a refurb and construction work in September 2026, so be mindful of that if booking near then. Was only there one night but would definitely recommend based on the experience.
