Nice staff… battling the hottest day of the year, deserve credit 👏 However the room Aircon was NOT up to scratch (antiquated) which made it probably the most uncomfortable, and least enjoyable stay of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were kind enough to provide an industrial style fan, but by that time the room heat was intolerable and was so loud that it was impossible to sleep. I would assume that an average summer heat wouldn’t be such an issue

The rooms are heavily fragranced and this extensive use of room scent/perfume were overwhelming. If you are sensitive to perfume or have allergies this is not the hotel for you. The carpet floor had not been properly cleaned prior to our stay, and still, after several notifications to the staff, none came to hoover the rug. Windows were dirty, the tea tray full of old dust and crumbs, the tabletop and other surfaces did not feel inviting. The hotel is in a great spot in the Paddington area, close to Hyde Park and public transportation. Kind and helpful staff did their best to make your stay pleasant, but unfortunately, due to the above, I will not book my stay in London here for the future.
