    Bad Housekeeping
    The property is in pretty good shape for as old as it is. The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable. However, the front desk personnel were not too friendly. The housekeeping staff was horrible. We stayed three nights. The second day the housekeeping staff left all the lights on and the curtains drawn back and didn’t fully make the bed (the pillows were just thrown on the bed). The third day they forgot to provide us with hand towels or washcloths. Breakfast was ok but should be advertised as a continental breakfast. The layout is bad. The tv in the breakfast are didn’t work. There was no sense of urgency or wanting to please when asked to fix the aforementioned problems but instead it was the attitude, “Really? I have to do that?” Won’t stay here again.

    Did not get the room I payed for!!
    Started at check-in, booked a non smoking room an front desk clerk said I booked a smoking room and I presented my conformation email an showed that I did not reserve a smoknig room an I reserved a non smoking room. Was then told by the General manager that I hotel was sold out an that in the morning that I would be switched to a non smoking room in the morning for the remainder of my booked nights. Went to the front desk first thing in the morning an was told that I was going to be moved to a non smoking room, went to pick the new room keys couple hours later an headed to work. After getting back to the room from work the new keys did not work. Went to the front desk an told the front dest attendant and got nothing but horrible comuster service, the from desk attendant re keyed the room keys for the smoking room that I was removed from an told me that they were booked for the night an was not able to switch our room that I was already moved from earlier during that day. At this time I still remained in the smoking room that I did not book for my two night stay. On my check out date I went to the general manager and talked with him an all he said would do is talk to his night staff!! So just make sure when booking your room pay attention to detail an present your confirmation emails,text to the front desk.

    We arrived at the hotel at 2:40pm to find that the hotel lobby was under renovation and we had to check in at the hotel next door. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Got to the hotel next door and was told check in time wasn't until 3:00 and there where no rooms available. Wasn't thrilled about that, but at least that was posted on the website. Went back at 3:00 to check in and was given keys to a dirty room. Went back to the hotel next door to get a new room. Once we got checked in room was average. Kind of smelled like hair dye, but the bed was comfortable. The hotel is ok, JUST ok. Staff isn't unfriendly, just seemed "meh". With all of the other options in the area, this hotel needs to step up their service and communication if they strive for return business or word of mouth promotion.

    Recently took my daughter on a trip to the Grand Canyon. This was our stop-over on the way back to Phoenix. First off, the desk attendant was too distracted with her ear buds to greet us or notice we were trying to check in. Second we were informed that the hotel was under renovation and we should expect a lot of noise until after 9pm. She said we were lucky because they only had one non smoking room left and "Expedia booked me a smoking room". When I tried to explain that I didn't use Expedia, and why was I the lucky one she became even shorter, and less responsive. When I asked about the rate, and more about the construction, thinking, I might not want to stay, she quickly swiped my credit card, and gave me the room keys and slipped her ear buds back in. Since we were tired, and really only need a bed, we decided to give it a try. The room was awful. Dirty, woefully run down and things like trim were falling apart. I would have left at that moment if my daughter wasn't so tired. So, we went to bed. I woke around 1am, went to get a drink of water, and that's when I saw the roach on the night stand. I managed to stay calm, and let my daughter sleep, but I was on bug watch the rest of the night. When we checked out, the management running the desk could barely speak English, and paid no concern to my concern. They again said since I'd booked with Expedia, there was nothing they would do. When I showed the itinerary from Traveloicity, they ignored me.

    Do not stay at this hotel! They are on a road with a chain of hotels available so thankfully we found something else. There were a bunch of run down RVs parked all along the road in front of the hotel. It was late, and we had traveled all day. When I went in, the man behind the counter hardly acknowledged me and his wife sitting on her phone did not at all. The lobby smelled of stale Indian food. After the man checked me in, saying only a handful of words to me (maybe he hardly spoke English?), I reminded them that we had called ahead about rollaways in both of our rooms. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about and told me it would be $15 per bed, they had told us $10 on the phone. We were directed around to the other side of the hotel where there were huge dumpsters and piles of old furniture and plastic wrapped enormous bundles (new furniture I presumed) right in front of our door. Our doors were directly behind all of this stuff. They were not visible from the car. Two questionable men walked by as we were sitting there. My oldest daughter and I got out and went to the rooms. The first door was cracked open. I was terrified someone was in there going to ambush us, and went in ready. Thankfully no one was there, but the room was old, worn out bedspreads and dirty. I went back to the front and told them I could NOT stay there, I did not feel safe. The only positive thing in all of this was that they refunded my money. I will now steer clear of this chain!
