The Sleep Inn was clean and inviting as well as a great location for bringing my daughter to college. However, it is extremely close to the highway and extremely noisy. The room also had a funky smell that never went away even after turning on the fan continuously.

I was well pleased with the facility and the kindness and courtesy shown to us. We were even offered a chance to change our room if it was too noisy due to it being near the interstae side of the Inn. I will definately be booking another stay with the Sleep Inn in the future. Check in was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, our room was on the west side next to I-85. I was very bothered by the big rigs running through the room. If that bothers you, ask for a room on the east side of hotel.

This motel is located right off I-85 so it was a convenient place to stop while traveling. The room was good-sized and clean. The breakfast was not good. There were two heels of a loaf of bread, some stale-looking muffins, and some overcooked microwave omelets. This was at 7:30. We decided to skip breakfast.

Cheap Rate, But Hotel Needs A Complete Overhaul

This establishment needs a complete reboot. Upon entering the room we were immediately hit with a strong musty odor. Further, the carpet was stained and was not vacuumed. The bathroom towels were damp, requiring us to request a new set from the front desk staff. There were mutiple stains on the walls, not to mention the evidence of moldy discoloration on the ceiling. Under normal circumstances we would have refused the room and requested a refund. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Helene, all hotels in the area were at full occupancy, so we made the best of it and purchased a cheap stick vacuum, carpet fresh, and Febreze from Wal-Mart to help with the smell and dirty carpet. The hotel staff was friendly and apologetic as the hurricane caused an outage of the Internet and cable television. Check-in was also a little challenging as the staff had to rely on using a cell phone to confirm the reservation.
