Don't Stay Here!
Waaaay over priced for what it is. Not overly clean, the beach is tiny, parking is insufficient especially on the Friday night party night open to the world. No room service either, which was one reason for staying there. Just not worth it, even for Charleston.

Good resort that could be great!
We enjoyed our stay at Harborside. It was relaxing, we had some good food and drinks, the views are lovely, and the staff were kind. We couldn't help but notice, however, how many things needed touching up around the property. Chipped paint, loose ceiling fixtures, faulty soap dispensers, a bathroom door that wouldn't stay closed...it just felt like a lot of small details weren't getting any attention. The same could be said for cleanliness around the property, as we noticed the occasional beer bottle cap on the ground, sidewalk in need of pressure-washing, or visible dumpster with trash piled around it. This place just needs better care of the property all around. Also, in case it's not obvious from the pictures, the fireplaces in the rooms are not real fireplaces but rather space heaters that display lights that kind of resemble a fire. All that said, we really did enjoy our time here. It's a great location with a free shuttle that runs you to and from downtown, and you receive a token upon check-in to redeem for free drinks or candy from the Marina store. Whether you're staying at Harborside or the Beach Club, you get access to all the property amenities. The pools at the beach club are great, and the pool and Tiki Bar staff were especially kind and accommodating. We'd absolutely consider staying here again if they give the place a little more TLC.

Great friendly staff. A bit remote without a car.
The front desk staff was amazing. They couldn’t have been more helpful! Our room was sufficient. The bathroom could have been updated a bit. There wasn’t a fan which would’ve been nice as there were 4 women sharing the bathroom and the foggy mirror. I think the one disappointment happened upon arrival! We had been traveling for hours and we wanted to relax over a cocktail at the bar on the property. We were told that the bar decided to close early because they had had a private party. I didn’t think that was fair to the rest of the patrons. Especially as the resort is pretty remote and nothing is in walking distance at night. The front end staff did direct us to a fun place for a late night snack and a night cap.

Very disappointing and soaked floors
The design of showers is horrible. The half glass door doesn’t keep water in, and the entire floor gets soaked. Not how you envision spending your holiday…mopping a floor every time. HVAC was very loud and clicking even when not running. No ventilation fans in bathrooms. Staff was less than concerned and never even asked how our stay was. I’m assuming they dodge this question from frequent complaints. We’ve stayed at Beach Club with a completely different experience. This part of the resort seems to be under different ownership and values, even though apparently it isn’t.
