Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size, comfortable and clean- same for the en suite. Charming hotel, architecturally grande, but well maintained. Also reasonably priced which was great. Nice garden too, and a friendly hotel cat. Would visit again.

The room was spacious and spotless with a really comfy bed. Check in staff were friendly and pleasant. The only minor downside was the corridors weren't cleared of plates and glasses from room service in other rooms, the same mess was there our entire stay.

Beautiful Victorian building building close to Chester station, literally 1 minute walk from station entry/exit. Easy walk along the canal into the historic city centre. Staff helpful and friendly.

We stayed for 2 nights, even though there was loud music nearby that stopped at a reasonable time and we slept well, Our room was clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay, Gluten free options from the restaurant made it great for my partner, on site parking wasn’t great but there are numerous options nearby at reasonable rates, would definitely stay again

Great location, well maintained building overall. Pretty quiet. Bedroom renovations very nice, bathrooms not as well renovated.

6/10 Good

Nice hotel and convenient location however the room was not very clean. Dust along the skirting boards, dirty bed linen, black mould on grout in shower. The carpet was also threadbare. Not what I’d expect when you pay over £170 for a room. Disappointed really.

Right next to the station and 10 minutes from all the amazing sights to see round chester, staff are extremely helpful also

10/10 Exceptional

Super comfortable bed! Quiet room with an opening window for fresh air. Some aspects were were showing their age due to the age of the structure (cracks in ceiling types of things) but updated and decor was beautiful. Great helpful staff. Close to the train station, reasonable walk to the old city center for an average fit person. Bar was beautiful but I didn't have time to stop due to sight seeing.
