The hotel is located in a less than favorable neighborhood in the city, but it’s also still close to lots of restaurants and bars. The parking lot and hotel itself felt fairly safe since the courtyard is gated. The hotel is really cute and comfortable and the staff was really nice. I would definitely stay again.

The staff is so nice and the vibe is good. We went to the opera, and the location to that area is good. It has parking. It has a pool. It is trying so hard to be great, but the area is a tiny bit run down and the other guests were still partying at midnight, so it was loud.

Kitch hotel. Reminds me of Hollywood or Palm Springs. Location is central but not very safe, property is surrounded by a gate and the staff was fantastic. Rooms are cute but a bit run down. When the restaurant is up and running again I'm sure they will put on some fantastic music events like they've had in the past. Great hotel for groups during PRIDE.

Staff was very nice. Hotel was sort of a funky fresh vibe. There are a lot of homeless in the area outside of the hotel. Don’t confuse older with dirty. It is an older place. Wish they would open the attached restaurant and bar!! I was a little apprehensive when we drove up, but it was safe, clean, and vintage! The atrium is cool and everything is gated and you must pass staff or use your key to enter the parking lot. Talked to one of the maids who said she had been there for years and it was a great place.

overall staff were great, it's an older building does need some updates but overall great stay great hotel, the scenery of the hotel itself was a vibe and loved it. Beds are so comfortable love the mirror in the room. Surrounding area is a little ehhh but the staff are on top of safety and I love it my car was safe I felt safe!!!! Near the Mission King of the Street car show and it was perfect to catch a WayMo. Only complaint I thought the restaurant would be open, but it was closed the whole weekend, but I didn't ask either why was it closed. As for the pool it's amazing and heated too !

The room smelled so gross, the bathtub was moldy, the tile on the bathroom wall had been painted and was peeling, the carpet looked like it had seen better days. The neighborhood is awful and scary to drive through -forget walking. I have absolutely no idea how this property has 9 ⭐️s. The only good qualities: parking on site and clean/comfortable beds. Even with those I would NEVER stay here again. Nor would I recommend it.

So glad this iconic spot is still open. The Phoenix Hotel and all their staff deserve every single good thing in the world happen to them. The TV in the room didn’t work but honestly I don’t even care cause this place just makes you feel at home.
