The Intercontinental was very nice. Did not have a swimming pool, but the restaurants were very high-quality, very good food and excellent service. My main complaint is that when I went to take a shower, there was someone else’s hair, still stuck to the wall which revealed to me that the room had not been properly cleaned. Also, the pillows for two squashy and soft. I appreciate goose down, but I ended up not sleeping the entire night because the pillows were not firm enough.

Magical Christmas holiday in Vienna

This hotel is not only a great location to stay at, but the staff is amazing! From the people at the front desk (who will help you with anything from places to visit, explore, where to eat and get reservations, and share the history of the area) to the bellmen (on our first night one walked us to a recommended restaurant so we wouldn't get lost) to the cleaning crew (everything was spotless). No matter who the employee was, everyone was smiling and friendly, and seemed to truly want to help me have the experience of a lifetime at all their winter holiday celebrations. Say Happy St Nicholas Day (Dec 6) and the front desk clerk handed me a large handful of chocolate candy! Everyone went above and beyond to make my holiday stay magical. Plus, the view from my room overlooking the park across the street, covered with snow, looked like a Christmas card scene. My friends had a view of the skating rink. On a scale of 1-10, this hotel and its staff is a 25! As lovely as the hotel was, it was the people who made my trip so special!!!
