The hotel itself is just fine. It gave us everything we needed; the only "annoying" part is the lack of counter space in the bathroom. The beds were clean and comnfortable, towels were in good shape and not dingy. The staff was kind and helpful, and breakfast was tasty.

It is located at Powell Street where the famous trolley runs, a block from Union Square and across Macy’s. I enjoyed our stay because it is so convenient to everywhere, especially to someone who can’t function without coffee to start the day (Starbucks right around the corner). Staff are very helpful and hotel is old (like majority of hotels in SF), but well kept.

The staff, especially the supervisor Latoya, were great! The food at the hotel restaurant was yummy and the location offered tons of choices for shopping (great bookstore across the street, Nintendo store down the street, China Town within walking distance, etc.), trolley access in front of the hotel and BART access just down the street. Smish Smash burgers (delicious smash burgers) was also down the street.

Cute spot right in the heart of Union Square. The room was small, but perfect for sleeping and getting ready. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved the overall vibe of the hotel. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Check in was a little unpleasant especially when I was told about the parking situation. I must have missed that when I chose this stay. The building/room has lots of character! Staff member at check out was much more pleasant and helpful.

The location is great, and the staff are friendly, but the room itself is very basic. Be aware of the additional $35 per day destination fee, which was added to our bill. We were not aware of this charge when we booked, and only discovered it after checking in. We were told that the fee could be used toward food and other purchases at the hotel. However, the snacks and food at the hotel were extremely expensive, so it didn’t feel like much of a benefit. Overall, we found the destination fee to be an unexpected and disappointing extra cost. Make sure you check carefully for these additional charges before booking.

Stayed here recently and had such a great experience. The hotel is extremely clean with a modern, stylish aesthetic that really makes it stand out. Everything from the decor to the overall vibe feels fresh and well thought out. What really made the stay even better was the staff—super friendly, attentive, and always available to help with anything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed place to stay!

Lovely hotel to stay at, for a trip to SF

Front desk staff were great, very polite and extremely helpful. Room was very spacious and overall the hotel was nice and quiet despite being busy.
