10/10 Exceptional

We had a small issue with our first room, that was dealt with quickly and efficiently, with a very generous upgrade to a Superior Junior Suite, which was very welcome. I'd give the breakfast 10/10 as well - absolutely not to be missed. Great to support an independent hotel as well. Highly recommended.

6/10 Good

Hotel was lovely, staff were nice, However I was advised over the phone the spa was included when I phoned to to confirm this - however the spa isn’t included it’s the health club that’s included, which is no where as nice, it really needs some money invested there. Milk they supplied was off, curdled when we make a drink. Breakfast was lovely, bed was comfortable.

8/10 Very good

The staff were super helpful and accommodating. We booked an afternoon tea which was delicious but was extremely slow and then we saw a mouse keep on running along the floor, to which one waitress was completely unbothered by and brushed it off to be expected of in the countryside! I also found a used contact lense lying on top of the duvet in my room.

10/10 Exceptional

Warm welcoming staff. Excellent parking and relaxed atmosphere. Brilliant breakfasts and restaurant offers great menu choices and a tempting wine list. Attended during probably busiest week of year and in a heat wave but staff were cheerful and exceptionally hard working throughout our stay. A fine example for all workers to follow whatever their work
