We had a wonderful stay at Penn's View Hotel. It is a beautiful historic property and the rooms are stunning! Quite convenient to the Arden Theatre, as well as many Old City restaurants. I'd like to thank Antonio (front desk) for the extra help he gave us with the rollaway bed.

The hotel was very nice with comfortable beds and attentive staff. Restaurant was very good as well. The manager was quick to respond to our requests and needs. There was a parking lot next door but had no connection to the hotel. Location was great in the Old City and close to all historical places. We walked everywhere and felt very safe in this area.

What a great little hotel! We were in 408, has original brick walls. 308, 408 and 508 has the brick walls. 408 has original outdoor windows, bathroom behind. Bar and restaurant are top shelf! Staff are friendly and attentive. Room has cool Juliette balcony with view of church st and river. Easy walk to many great places in Old City.

Highly recommend this place. Get room 509! Beautiful balcony and view. The only downside was the Wi-Fi wasn't working, tv remotes/box weren't functioning, and the phones didn't work in the rooms. The Panaroma on the first floor was fantastic! I was not expecting such great quality food and kind staff! Great place for special occasions. Parking was less than stellar, there's a parking lot to the left that has no in/out and its $40 a day.

We couldn’t have enjoyed our 2 nights at Penn’s View Hotel more. Older building, quaint, cool vibe, comfy rooms and beds, very clean, friendly & helpful staff, great bar and beautiful, low lighting in restaurant & in Old Town!! - it was perfect!! Easily obtained our Uber to our Neil Young concert at TD Mann Cntr, catch the Hop On/Hop Off Bus next day, and walk to a nearby CVS & cute coffee shop. Highly recommend this hotel and location in historic Old Town.

Saw 3 other rooms, each quite different than 208. Our room had a window that did nothing to keep out the chill - or the highway noise. Gal at reception misdirected us en route to church, but we followed common sense and arrived on time (go up to 5th Street to get to a church on 4th?). Only upon returning from our Saturday morning adventures did we see that there was now a Saturday brunch - would have loved that.

The room is small, but very comfortable, with a really nice bed and quality linen that made for a great night’s sleep. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the amenities were surprisingly good for the price. The location is the real standout: easy walking distance to the waterfront, historic sites, and Center City, so you can explore a lot without needing a car.
