Thankful for Hotels.com for great rate vs their walkin rate. The front desk staff was wonderful giving an Upper room overlooking the Ocean as we are from Montana and 1st time at seashore. The view walking thru the door was breathtaking. it is a WELL worn property and it shows. restaurant/bar staff is not friendly looks as if they would rather be elsewhere. We were on a 10 day travel east coast vacation and by far the worst interaction with staff OTHER than the front desk.

The room was very appropriate for the price. Staff was excellent to deal with. Room was clean and everything worked A/C plumbing etc. Had alot of thing included. Pools slides fir the kids beach access. A bar a place to eat. Would definitely stay here again. The parking deck was the only drawback its very tight and ran out of spaces at night.

Although it was a windy, rainy weekend, from the outer bands of Hurricane Isaias, our visit wasn’t ruined because of it. Crown Reef has plenty to do, even in yucky weather. It was our 2nd stay here and I can say that we will be back for more stays because of the waterpark and view of the ocean from every room. It’s worth the affordable price you pay, even though the buildings are older. Our two rooms were very clean, older but comfortable. The well supplied kitchenette is nice if you’re bringing food from home. The air conditioner worked great since it was so humid outside during our stay. The beds were a bit firm, but others might like their firmness. Linens and towels were crisp clean, white and bright. The water pressure in the shower was strong and it didn’t take long to get hot water; although, I’m 5’ 4” and noticed that the shower head was low. Someone taller might have to duck down to use it. Crown Reef is a nice place for a family friendly, affordable stay. You can rarely find a beach front place to stay that’s within a family’s budget, let alone one with a waterpark, beach access and ocean views from every room. Just don’t expect perfection because the buildings are older. We’ll definitely go back!
