We had the gorgeous American twin room on the second floor Lovely toiletries, comfortable bed, fantastic coffee machine – the room was amazing. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. Please bear in mind that there are no lifts and the stairs and flooring are uneven in places due to the age of the building. This is in no way criticism however I do feel that if you had mobility issues you would struggle to get up even the first flight of stairs which is quite uneven.

Really nice historical property in primary location. Stayed in room 115 which may be the best room on the property. Large and historically decorated. King James spent several nights at the property when it was a simple coach house. Nice restaurant on site but recommend reservations at both hotel and restaurant at the same time, as the area is not that large and very popular. Within easy walking distance of the train station, grocery store and many local historical sites. Front desk was very helpful. Great town to use as an introduction the Cotswolds.

This inn is in the perfect location to explore the Cotswalds without a car. It's an easy walk from the train station. We took a few day trip tours while there and enjoyed the Tuesday market. We also took the train to Bath for the day. The inn itself has a great old pub and dining room and a lovely courtyard that all serve meals or just a drink. There is a nice early breakfast you can choose that is just served to the guests that are staying at the inn. Our room on the first floor had a lovely private garden with a table that allowed us to have coffee in our robes the morning. The staff is helpful and kind and the inn is well maintained. Would definitely stay there again!
