From the moment I arrived, the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The air conditioning worked great considering the Texas heat and the thermostat hanging out of the wall.

The place is clean and it has the basics you need , but nothing fancy. The facilities are old but working. The location is great. Breakfast is very basic, nothing cooked, except for boiled eggs. My only complaint is the noise - even at 10:30pm there’s sirens from the police car and noisy luggage rolling across the corridor.

Location location location. Great spot to go to UT game and downtown. In between both. Able to walk everywhere. The hotel is not pretty. Not that clean or organized. Have low expectations of room and appreciate the location

Our room wasn’t cleaned the entirety of our stay (3 days) even though we requested cleaning everyday. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff was great. The property and rooms were disgustingly filthy. The beds were stained & gross. There was vomit in the stairwell from the garage to the hotel entrance. The bathtub had bugs coming out of drain when I turned on the shower. There weren’t any grippers on the bottom of the tub & nothing to hold on to when getting in & out of tub. The cost was ridiculously high for such a filthy place.

AC was perfect for the hot Thursday I arrived! Staff was friendly and helpful Breakfast selection was small but still pretty decent nonetheless. Great location for exploring downtown austin!

First look of the room was nice but then walking in and looking more into it the mattress was dirty. There was a big wet spot next to the ac that wouldn’t go away. The ac remote was broken. The shower head was also a little broken. The bathroom floor was dirty. The bottom of the bed was also dirty. The staff was pretty nice. The breakfast was okay. Air conditioning still worked other than the remote being broken. The price was not worth it because besides the hotel being affordable we had to pay for overnight parking which was $50 so it was around $200 for a one night stay at a dirty hotel for two adults. Not really that worth it if u want to stay multiple nights. Also the $50 overnight parking garage was really sketchy, there were dirty mattresses and spray paint and random stuff in the parking garage. Additionally to open my hotel room one of they key cards wasn’t working and the door thing to scan the card was so weird to figure out I’m pretty sure it was broken aswell.

Elevators were small and dirty. Rooms were dirty and bedding looked like it had stains. The staff was amazing. The best customer service I’ve had at any hotel for awhile. I was also charged twice for the room and it’s still not been refunded.

No self parking, which is ridiculous since this is a 2 star hotel. Toilet broke, no blow dryer in the room. Hallway smelled like urine. On the fip side, very comfortable bed, room was clean and great shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful! However, the pool area was very dirty and had dead plants all around it, and the keypad to the pool was broken which made it difficult to use. The room was cozy, but the floors were not clean and the bathroom doors wouldn’t shut. The headboard on one of the beds was broken, and only one bed had a duvet. The hallway to our room smelled horribly and needs a good clean. Breakfast was delicious though, and it was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

For a last-minute trip the location and price was very convenient. You’re basically paying for location more than anything. A couple issues. It could definitely be upgraded. A few bulbs were out so lighting was poor, the bathtub scared me so we didn’t use it. The amenities were OK, served their purpose, there was a pool and complimentary breakfast. Staff was helpful and accommodating. I called to check in. They said my room is ready and so I tried to go ahead and drop off bags, but they still wanted to charge an early bird fee.

You have to pay for everything extra parking, microwave, mini fridge. The rooms were nasty mold and always pull off the sheets the mattress had blood or poop stains. The front desk lady was rude.

property is run down, parking is horrible. The room was dirty. The tv had a black line right in the middle making it hard to see. There was bugs on the crawling on the wall. The shower was dirty and the water pressure was horrible. Staff was nice. Breakfast was okay but we got there an hour and a half before it was over and there was not much left other than coffee and cereal

In my reviews, I try to find the balance between being fair to both the property and the travelers. In this instance, I would not recommend this property because of the overall condition of the oroperty. It is run down and was not cleaned properly. The front desk lady that I dealt with was the one bright spot. She was friendly and efficient, but I will look elsewhere on my next trip.

By far the WORST hotel I’ve ever been at. The only redeemable thing about it was the staff. Fridge had mold and didn’t work, microwave was gross, paid for “valet parking” but had to still park my truck myself, the parking spaces were too small for even a car. I bought a deluxe hotel and the pictures show a large area with a couch but the only upgrade was the fridge, which didn’t work, and the microwave, which was disgusting. WiFi never worked. The drawers in the room were falling apart. The staff was nice at least. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

La Quinta should be ashamed of this property. We chose the hotel for location, which it was close to the Moody Center and the main downtown area. Location is all this hotel has going for it. As we pulled up it looked run down and we decided to utilize the vallet parking (regrets, explain later) The gentleman we checked in with was the only kind/helpful employee we interacted with. So shout out to him. The elevators were gross and floor of them was all beat up and stinky. We finally made it to our room and immediately there were issues. The safety lock on door was broke, there was residue on walls, curtains broken, etc. we asked for a room in better condition and the gentleman at the desk said that our room was considered one of their best kept rooms. The following morning we packed up to leave, went to lobby and weighted for vehicle after doing the digital request. After awhile we asked the front desk about our vehicle status. We were told by the younger lady, who smelled like booze, that the valet was late to work and didn’t know when he was arriving. She then told us we could go through the keys in the desk, find out and then go find our vehicle. Wild. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again. Not even for another overnight.

This hotel was a very nice experience. The room was very nice, comfy bed, meaning not hard or firm....it was comfy. I got the executive room and it was spacious. the staff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel needs someone who cares about presentation. The people that work there are great; friendly, willing to help and are professional. The hotel itself, while under construction is a hot mess. If it wasn't for the friendly staff, I would have eaten the cost of staying and left. Even then, it turns out that the lights in the unit didn't work except for the bathoom sink light. The water ran, was hot, but had nails and screws on the floor, a desk chair that looked like it was a cat's scratching post at one time, The TV wouldn't turn on and none of the outlets worked except for the one in the vanity. The closet had a hole punched in it, and the light from the front door told us there was as gap underneath the door too. There was a huge cricket or roach crawling on the floor, couldn't quite tell, it was so dark in there. The A/C worked extremely well, but c,mon...it felt like I was in a section 8 complex. Whoever is managing that place needs to step up their game because your staff is working hard to provide a service that is seemingly welcoming, but offers little back except over-priced booking and $45 for valet parking. Better to do the garage 2 blocks down, $30 for 24 hours. Way better. That upgrade better be next level because the investment cost to accomplish it won't be cheap.

The parking is 45 a night. The place is completely run down. Smelled horrible. Staff is really nice and friendly.
