I’ve stayed here multiple times now for weekend trips. Staff is always friendly and check in/check out always runs smoothly. I was bummed to see only one hot tub working and the sauna was under maintenance. I book this hotel for those two things so that was kind of a let down especially for the price I paid. There are SEVERAL reasons to choose this hotel!: 1. Historical (built in 1912) 2. Wonderful architecture 3. Quiet rooms (thanks to building quality) 4. Amazing fitness area 5. Great breakfast choices (see below) 6. Helpful and friendly staff While the surrounding area may not be the best, and there are quite a few homeless downtown, you don't realize it as the hotel is built so well you feel shielded from the outside. They do an amazing job to make you feel comfortable and safe. If you are fortunate enough to stay on weekdays, the lady at the omelette station is amazing. She has been doing it for 26 years in this location and you will not find a better omelette!
