Nice pubs all dog and child friendly and everything within walking distance. Nice distillery at the bottom end of town just outside the town centre. They do tour's round the distillery. They have a nice bar in the distillery from coffee to whisky.

Pitlochry is a lovely busy town with a variety of cafes and places to eat. A visit to the hydro dam is a must, seeing the salmon ladder and how the dam was created. The visitor centre is interesting and children and adults will enjoy It.

Pitlochry was bustling with holiday guests and offered shopping, restaurants, patios and a lovely lake walk. It felt like a Canadian Banff.

Pitlochry was absolutely overrun with tour groups heading to the Enchanted Forest light show. The town is cute but it seems every business is catering to tourists and lacks a local personality.

Combined visit with trip to Enchanted Forest which was great. Town is buzzing with good restaurants and independent shops.
"We stayed at this charming hotel July 15-18 and were so pleased that we picked this property in Pitlochry. Perched on a hill, the hotel is a lovely 19th century stone building and the interior is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. We had a premium room and were amazed by the size and beautiful views over Pitlochry.
Our first night we decided ahead of time to dine at the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. From the canapés and drink in the lounge to the last bite of dessert it was delicious.
The included breakfast is top notch; I had a full Scottish breakfast one day and all the ingredients are clearly high quality, expertly prepared.
On our last day we had to leave early for the airport and were hoping that we’d be able to perhaps get a breakfast roll or something for the car ride. Mind you, breakfast starts at 8:00 and we were leaving by 7:00. Not only did we get breakfast sandwiches, they thoughtfully added some other goodies like shortbread, bottled water and crisps and even came in early (before 7:00!) and made us coffees to take away!
The Knockendarroch Hotel is at the top of our list for quality, service, comfort and value. What a gem in Perthshire. "
"We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was outstanding, the views were fantastic and the balcony provided a great private outside space. The complimentary drinks were of high quality and generous including fresh milk and snacks from the pantry."
"Very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice hotel grounds, close enough to walk into the village, but far enough to be quiet and tranquil in the evenings."
"From an excellent check in and very informative we had a great time. The room we had passed all expectations. We used the facilities at the hotel and were very pleased with the swimming pool, gym and the outside areas.
We ate in the hotel on all five nights there and were pleased with the selection on the menu’s and the costs were in line to what we have paid in the locality. "
"This was by Far our favorite stop on our two week journey around UK . Staff made every effort to insure our stay was perfect . We will refer this hotel to anyone that travels to Scotland "
