Transfers from Hamilton Island are available by taking the 45-minute Cruise Whitsundays ferry from Hamilton Island Airport to Daydream Island and then a 30-minute private boat transfer to the property (AUD 240 one way per person). For direct boat transfers from Hamilton Island, high tide is necessary for service and provided by a third-party operator, Mars Charters (AUD 595 one way, and a AUD 90 airport transfer fee). Boat transfers from Shute Harbour Marine Terminal take 30 minutes and operate daily for AUD 350 one way (2+ person package) or AUD 175 per person, one way. Available transfer options and prices are subject to change. To confirm and guarantee transfers, guests must contact the property at least 14 days before their expected arrival.

The most stunning exclusive resort where the staff genuinely care about your experience. The meals were gourmet and generous in serving size, rooms were kept immaculate, and views were incredible. The infinitely pool allowed us to watch the sealift and was captivating. The staff organised a stellar Proposal and spared no expense. This place is truly special, highly recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about this resort! Book it and pay for the short helicopter ride to the resort from the Hamilton Island airport…worth the expense! Resort will arrange the flight for you and will assist with luggage storage. Resort staff was amazing, meals were delicious, nice wine selection. Absolutely no complaints about our 3 night stay other than it wasn’t long enough. Do take bug spray as the Midge bites are no joke.

Beautiful location. Very helpful staff and excellent twice daily yoga sessions. If you’re coming here to have an active break it’s probably not the place as there are very limited options. Kayaking & SUP available and one bush trail up the hill. Food was excellent ! Not really the place for a solo traveller. Rooms not cleaned particularly well. Thick dust on top of air con unit and dead bugs around every day in room which came through the rafters. Didn’t bother me but probably would for other guests Very expensive transfers to get to the Island. All in all, perfect for 2 nights but 5 was too many.

Firstly if you just come here for the views then it would be worth it. Reading or relaxing by the pool with the most speciality views of the coast is unlike anywhere else, unspoiled by crowds or boats. As there’s only a maximum of 20 guests plus 4-5 staff the whole resort feels like a private getaway rather than a resort and often we were the only ones in the pool. The food was great for all the meals and we definitely didn’t go hungry. The morning and afternoon yoga is great and there is a hiking trail up to a lookout however we encountered lots spiders and biting insects so be wary (in the rooms and by the pool this wasn’t an issue). Overall this feels like a great way to relax, connect with the surrounding nature and admire the beauty of the area.

Superb property in stunning location. Staff were amazing. Villas lovely. Only issue was getting there from airport. Expedia web site said 18 min drive implying you could get a taxi. But only options were helicopter or boat, and both were expensive and in addition to the holiday cost.

We absolutely loved our short-stay (too short) at Elysian. Everything was just perfect. The private island is so peaceful and tranquil. The activities available are plentiful and nature oriented. The food is just divine - every meal was beautifully prepared with the freshest ingredients and meant we did not have to worry about a thing. The cherry on top is the service - each staff member (Alice, Emily, and Nathan in particular) was delightful and attentive, and would do everything in their power to make our stay even more special. We cannot recommend Elysian more highly - we will definitely be coming back!

Our stay here was incredible. Romantic and relaxing. This place offers a little slice of paradise to unwind in. The location is secluded and spectacular. (Note you do need to book a transfer from Hamilton Island Airport, either two boats or via a 5 min helicopter flight - which is a lovely way to see the islands!) The staff are all fantastic, a big thank you to Alice and the entire team. They are caring, attentive (no request was too hard) whilst ensuring you also have your space.

Amazing stay

Wonderful stay at the Elysian. Everything was just perfect! From the amazing helicopter ride from the airport we couldn’t have asked for a more hospitable environment. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as possible. The chefs also do a great job making delicious meals and every meal is different. This is all inclusive with a cherry on top. The bedrooms are huge, have super comfy beds, and all have that breathtaking view of the calm sea. We didn’t want to leave. We will be back!

This resort is brilliant for relaxing. Only 20 adults on site at any time, which provides a great ambience and chilled vibe. The transfers are magical - we chose the helicopter in, and the boat out. Lovely staff, delicious food, gorgeous pool, wonderful yoga and massages! A special place far from the madding crowd. If it’s relaxation you’re after this is the place to go. Just be aware, before you book, the transfers (via boat or helicopter) are extremely expensive! The only other negative is the communal areas could do with an update & soft furnishings (chair pads/cushions etc) need a clean.
