Beautiful hotel, grounds and staff. Made for the perfect base to discover Amalfi coast, Pompeii and an easy train to Rome. The pool is fantatsic and open until late, great for a quick refresh after a hot day exploring this part of Italy. Our junior suite room in the main building with views of the mountain, the grounds, the pool, Naples and even a bit of the sea was beyond our expectations.

Pool with loungers & towels supplied plus the poolside bar. On site parking with buggies available to bring luggage to or from your car. Also courtesy bus from the nearest station (free) or the airport (chargeable). Good breakfast buffet. We didn't try the restaurant. Good location for visiting Pompeii or Herculaneum.

The air conditioner kept it cool enough but the air was so still that it seemed hotter than it was. As for everything else? It was superb. The LINE restaurant was flawless. We loved our stay at Il San Cristoforo. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern, and the resort property was beautiful and quiet. The staff were always helpful. The hotel offers free shuttle services multiple times a day to the nearby main train station (Ercolano Scavi) which made it easier for one of our day trips. They were also very helpful with getting a shuttle to Napoli Centrale for when we checked out. One thing to keep in mind is that local restaurants are a bit of a walk (~20 minutes) which we personally didn't mind. Also, the closest train station (S. Giorgio a Cremano) is about a 30 minute walk. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Il San Cristoforo.
