Very polite staff. Clean rooms and beds. The hotel is a bit old, and from the era when smoking rooms were more prominent. But it was clean. We ran the AC to cover over the smell, and the unit didn’t really love being on all night. But other than the faint smell of old smoke it was a nice stay.

Great location in SLO. There's the Cowgirl Cafe right across the street which has an excellent breakfast. Highway entrance super close as well. Kinda disappointed with the check in lady. Not super energetic or friendly. Unfortunate. Room was clean and comfortable. Small TV with limited channels ( no abc, CBS etc ). Good AC. Toilet is really really low but good water pressure. If you're just using the room to sleep, it's good. Quiet too.

Stolen Goods

The beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious enough for my family, and it was cheap. When in the room i noticed they werent cleaned properly though, i had even found someone's old bandaid in the closet, that was pretty gross! Upon checking out I had left some items in the room and not everything was returned to me, i was just glad my keys were, kids food Tupperware wasnt. Overall it was an okay experience, i guess you just get agat you pay for!

Never Staying Here Again

We were suppose to be in a 3 bedroom family suite. When we checked into room 228, the deadbolt didn't work, so I asked for a new room. We were then given room 225, and I was shocked to see that the deadbolt also didn't work. I took a video of it and showed the hostess who told me that maintenance would be there at 10 am the following morning. I asked for a room with just two beds or even one bed as our plans had changed and it was now just the two of us instead of the five we had booked for. We were given room 152 which was very much not ready for guests. The pictures are from the final room. Smoke alarm wrapped in plastic and other ill remedies throughout the space. We were not offered a credit for the downgrade in space.

It’s an average motel. It’s ok. It’s not dirty. It was a little noisy because of the proximity to the 101. Not walking friendly and a little difficult to get out of the drive in a vehicle. Staff was courteous. Nothing to write home about but if you’re just looking for a place to stay, it’s fine.

My experience with the lady at the front desk was terrible. My first interaction with her I was talking to her on the phone asking if I could have an early check in. From the start, she had an attitude and it was hard to understand what she was saying. I show up to the hotel and she was immediately yelling and me while pointing her finger at me. Telling me I am rude and disrespectful, and that she was not going to respect me until I respect her. During this, I am not saying anything rude, I was asking her to stop yelling at me and that was her response. She very rudely asked for my ID and credit card and was very aggressive with every interaction. I was not pleased and will not return or recommend to anyone.

The part of the hotel where we stayed was a former apartment building. I loved having so much room, a kitchen, and even a back yard! The floor was filthy - both sticky and black with grime. The man running the front desk was doing his best but it seemed he was running the front desk for the hotel across the street as well, so there was a wait to check in and out. Not a big deal though. He was nice.
