We had a wonderful stay at Toshiharu Ryokan and would happily stay here again. The ryokan is exceptionally clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the delicious and generous traditional Japanese breakfast each morning. Everything was beautifully prepared and it was the perfect start to our days exploring Kyoto. The sento was another standout feature. After long days of sightseeing, it was the ideal place to relax and unwind in a calm and traditional atmosphere. The location is excellent as well. Although tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, it is surprisingly walkable to many of Kyoto's most popular attractions, restaurants, shopping areas, and public transportation. It offered the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. A fantastic Kyoto experience with warm hospitality, great food, relaxing baths, and an ideal location. Highly recommended. 🇯🇵🏮✨

This 115 year old ryokan was absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful and very clean. The staff were so kind and welcoming, ensuring that everything I needed was taken care of. If you are visiting a don’t speak Japanese fluently, they speak English as well. The breakfast was absolutely amazing too! I cannot stress how much I recommend staying here. I personally loved the “chrysanthemum room” (Kiku) since I was directly in front of the garden.
